We are looking for a business-driven Reception Manager with strong leadership and proven sales experience, who wants to take primary responsibility for the reception's sales and guest experience.

At Waterfront Cabins, we work every day to create memorable experiences for our guests – from the first check-in to the last goodbye. We are now looking for a driven and business-minded Reception Manager who wants to take full responsibility for both guest service and the reception's sales.

About the role

As the Reception Manager, you are the face of Waterfront Cabins and have overall responsibility for the daily operations and sales results of the reception. You lead a team of about 10 employees and ensure that the reception not only delivers first-class service but also actively contributes to the company's revenue.

You work systematically towards set goals for upselling and cross-selling, for example by developing the sales approach at the reception, following up on results, and coaching employees to become confident and engaged in their sales interactions.

During peak seasons such as summer, holidays, Christmas, and New Year, you are present in the operations and lead the team operationally.

Your main responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the reception's sales, including follow-up of goals, results, and areas for development
  • Actively work with and develop upselling and cross-selling at the reception
  • Coach, motivate, and train employees in service-based sales
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the reception team in their daily work
  • Ensure a high level of service and a professional, warm approach in all guest interactions
  • Be responsible for scheduling, routines, and task distribution
  • Handle guest inquiries in a solution-oriented and attentive manner
  • Be a central link between the reception and other departments such as housekeeping, booking, and management

We are looking for someone who is business-driven, service-oriented, and confident in their leadership. You thrive with responsibility and have a clear ability to combine a high level of service with a sales focus.

You have natural authority and integrity, can stand firm even when the pace is high and decisions need to be made quickly. At the same time, you have a warm and unpretentious personality – you lead with care, clarity, and commitment.

We believe you have experience in reception, hotels, or service professions – preferably in a leadership role. However, the most important thing is your attitude, sense of responsibility, and willingness to provide guests with that little extra.
